The making of a blog button

I have been trying to create a blog button.  Well First it was too big and I did a whole lot of changing now it is too small.  It is really cute and it looks like this
Now all I have to do is get it the right size.  Then I have to change my signature because It doesn't match.  You all know what I will be doing tomorrow. :o)

My Wonderful Birthday Trip!

My sweet Honey started our trip with one of these.
If you know me you know I need this.  I can get lost in my own town!
I set it up and he gave me an address.
Here it is set up with our cutie Browning being a little co-pilot.
When we arrived 2.5 hours later we were here.
Can you see the view?
We were at the Orange County Mining Co.
When we went inside I was super surprised to see my Dear Brother and sweet Sister-in-law
The O.C. Mining Co.  Is so neat!
I thought you may want to read about it.
This was the menu.
This was the Terrific view!
It was so pretty.  Oh and the food!
Coconut shrimp!

 The Seafood Feast.
 Shrimp Scampi Style

 B.B.Q
Oh yes it tasted as good as it looks!
We were all happy and full when we left.
We spent the night at my Brothers home which is only a block from Huntington Beach!
The next morning my honey said we were going SHOPPING!
You must know that he loves me if he will take me SHOPPING!  He hates shopping!
I LOVE IT!
After a little shopping we drove to Seal Beach and walked down the Main St.
They had the sweetest Nursery.
Lots of lovely flowers.
And I loved that all the doors to the shops were Dutch doors.
I just love dutch doors!
We walked the pier.
I thought I may blow away!

My Dear Honey was so excited when he saw
A John Deere.
Yes, they need tractors even at the beach.
At the end of the day we were both happy.  Me because I had fun shopping and Him because of a Green Tractor.

It was a lovely ending to a Great Birthday!

Thank You Honey!  I love you!

Mystery Birthday Trip! Oh My!

Tomorrow is my Birthday but,
this morning Started out like all the rest.  Get up, get kids to school come home drink a Pepsi so I can be nice.
Now I should have started to realize that something was different when Sunshine said "I know you will have a good day Mom" as she hopped out of the car.
Wanting to know what was going on I thought of calling my sweetheart and asking some sneaky questions.
But I decided no.
Then I received this text message

After a quick trip to the office I found this.

Well my honey was smart because he gave me till 4pm to get ready.  I think he knew I looked like this

After a quick shower I tried to figure out what I should wear.
(WARNING NEXT Photos  are blurry!  Hey it is hard to take photos of yourself!)
Whoa!  I am way too white

Nah maybe too cold where I am going.

 Maybe Capri's?

Sweater?  Aggh!  Need more Specifics!
After a quick comb through of my hair and a quick brush of my teeth.  What are all the tools and products for??  Okay so after a blow dry, a flat iron a round brush, and curling iron.
Some teeth whiting, deodorant, smoothing gel, straightening gel, Hair spray and a little make up.
I am ready to go!
Oh yeah and I packed Too!
Okay now only 4.5 Hours to wait!
I will let you know as soon as I am back where I went!
I am super excited!

Teacher Survival Boxes

We had another teacher appreciation week at the kids school.
I saw this great tutorial @ eighteen25   Jennifer, Jamie & Jodie have a great blog! Go check it out! They made the cutest Box of Teacher Goodies.  I was inspired.   Now the one they made had the cutest matching foo foo's inside.  Mine is a little simpler.
I stopped by my local .99 cent store and this is what I got.

Sticky notes, paper clips, white out, pens, thumb tacks, chocolate,
(not pictured hand sanitizer, Tylenol, and drink packets)

The boxes I found had removable thingies so I could make everything fit just right.
(I did change the pens these ones were cuter and fit a little better)

I used mod podge to add cute paper to the clips.

This one was for Moonshines Teacher.
(you may see the paper has bubbled up.  This happens to me often when I mod podge.  Do not worry!  After it fully dries it will lay  flat)
This one was for Sunshines Teacher.
I hope you are inspired to try something new for your children's teachers this year!
If you have not seen my previous teacher post

Happy Crafting!

Yummy Chicken Floutas!

I started making these a few years ago and everyone loved them.  (probably because they are fried)
What you need
Tortillas
1/4 Cup Salsa
1/3 Cup Cheese
1 Can Chicken or equivalent cooked Chicken(I use Canned)
Oil for frying
(I also use toothpicks)
Put Chicken Salsa and Cheese in a bowl
Mash it all together.  I use a fork.
May not look too good but it will taste good!
Glob some on to a tortilla.  Should have enough to make 8 floutas
Fold over a little.
then pull back firmly making the filling snug
 Okay roll the thing up!

This is where the tooth pic comes in.

 I made a double batch.
The extra go in to the freezer.
 Now Fry those babies up!
Some more salsa and sour cream.
YUMMY!
Tip when using the canned chicken save the broth!
I poor it into ice cube trays then when frozen put it in a baggie then I always have broth when needed!

Happy Cooking!
